UPS Adapter CS121

General Info
The CS121 adapters are powerful microcomputers for a wide range of monitoring and control applications in the area of energy and facility management. They serve as communication and control agents between safety-relevant devices and numerous kinds of network-based clients. There are many more possibilities, but the basic scenario for a CS121 adapter is as follows:
- Collecting data from an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) by one of its serial ports, providing status information on a Web site accessible via the built-in Web server, executing user-defined events e.g. shutdown of a whole network of computers via RCCMD in case of a major power fail
- Providing status information on a Web site accessible via the built-in Web server
- Executing user-defined events e.g. shutdown of a whole network of computers via RCCMD in case of a major power fail
The high flexibility and extensibility of the CS121 adapter family is one of its major advantages, allowing for:
- user-notification via email, SMS, network messages
- status reports and event histories
- data analysis and visualization
- scheduling of standard tasks
- additional sensors and actuators on AUX port
- optional MODBUS slave functionality
CS121 adapters are available as stand-alone and slot devices and both of these types are available as full-featured standard versions and budget versions with reduced functionality. For full details please refer to the UPS Adapter CS121 Datasheet or contact our support team.
